THE WINE CELLAR

Castello di Tagliolo, owned by Marquis Pinelli Gentile from 1498, is surrounded by a vast area of vineyards from Alto Monferrato, recognised as among the best for producing Dolcetto di Ovada. The wine selection, all obtained by selected grapes form estate vineyards include the well-known “Castagnola”, an oak-aged Dolcetto, the Riserva del Marchese – sparkling, the family long-tradition Bianco and Rosso del Castello, l’Ambra Nobile late harvested, a Dolcetto Chinato - aromatised with herbs and the Gentile, a fizzy Dolcetto vinified sweet. Inside the Castle, various events can be organised such as weddings and gala dinners, and guests can be hosted in the charming Guest Houses surrounding the castle and nested in the Medieval Village, with private garden, ideal for relaxing and tasting wines.
